I’ll eventually need to do a complete redesign of the look of the site once the re-branding of the club takes place and I’ll probably switch to different software then, there’s crude mock up of a different program (SMF) here [url:ij5pblys]http://www.dunedinicehockey.co.nz/smf/[/url:ij5pblys]. But in the mean time I’d rather keep hacking at the current system to keep them out.

[*:38kzqhd9]Bode and I put up some high tension wiring to support the netting and put the nets up along one side. We ran out of time to get the rest up though. Hopefully we’ll get the nets up soon though.[/*:m:38kzqhd9]
[*:38kzqhd9]James van Leeuwen is planning to do some bracing on the boards as they’re pretty wobbly as is and will be fitting something to pin the nets to them.[/*:m:38kzqhd9]
[*:38kzqhd9]I have the lights ready, I just need to get them to the rink. Our electrician is planning on installing them shortly – hopefully by the weekend.[/*:m:38kzqhd9]
[*:38kzqhd9]James or Hans (can’t remember which) will also be installing a new door and a lock on it to keep the public out.[/*:m:38kzqhd9]
[*:38kzqhd9]There’s a possibility of the floor being painted, but that’s not certain, depends if a few things fall into place or not.[/*:m:38kzqhd9][/list:u:38kzqhd9]Ryan,

MemberFuck this guys a dick!
I’ve deleted a post insulting Kyle. Plus I deleted Kyle’s reply coz it made no sense without the original post there.
He sure does have a bee in his bonnet about you Kyle! You’re not exactly the type of person who’s known for pissing people off, so it’s all a little odd. Perhaps he has wee mans syndrome or something.

MemberI just deleted a couple of posts in here 👿 . This is the first time I’ve had to delete a post on this forum [b:2itx1k13]ever[/b:2itx1k13] (apart from spammers) and I’m not impressed. Please don’t go insulting people just because you feel like it, if you want to insult people at least have the decency to say who you are.

MemberIf dirt bike riding means a motor bike, then the helmet is definitely not up to scratch. I wouldn’t recommend any hockey helmets for motor cycles – they’re probably not too bad for push bikes though.

MemberYep, agree. I’ll do that ASAP.
I’ve sent an email to Joyce asking for this to be added as a minor item for the next commitee meeting agenda (next Monday). Presumably it’ll just get the tick from the committee, but I’ll post here when I here back.
I’ll do the changes to the file tonight possibly – if I have time.

Anyway, this is just to give everyone a little insight as to how things are more or less organised. Obviously, things can be changed for next year if people get organised and issues get worked out with competing interests from the other clubs and the rink.

the thing to do is to bring it to a DIHA meeting (meetings first mondays of each month at 7:30 at rink) and we can work on it for next year.[/quote:35njtp9p]
Thanks for the run down Paul <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="
” title=”Smiley” /> There’s probably not much point pushing my own view on the scheduling issues as I suspect I’m in the minority with my view on things.

MemberGood point about the practices being all season.
Personally I like the idea of DIHL games taking presidence over practices, but I guess that’s a debatable thing really – different strokes for different folks and all that. And yep, the schedule is a messy thing. Hopefully it can be sorted out pre-season next year so these blips can be avoided.

MemberI’d rather see training at marginal times and games at good times. We need to get spectators to the games, not to practices. Spectators are a lot less likely to turn up to a 9:10pm game start than a 8:10pm one. Plus it’s more important that we get players for games rather than practice.
