Kyle’s right.
Try to discourage people from talking about gay stuff in the forum, at least in a negative way. Matt’s post in the videos forum was funny so I’m not about to delete it, plus it’s not exactly homophobic, quite the opposite.
This is a forum about hockey after all, so try to stay on topic (Matt A). Feel free to post your gay fantasies or homophobic rantings here – we don’t mind – just not in the public forums <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="

My post about people making negative statements in the changing room was serious, and the original post I made was too, pretty much everything else isn’t though apart from Kyles comments.
I might make another forum to add to the heap and shunt some of the topics from here into it and leave this one for people to just post trash into and for stuff purely related to the website. At the moment, if anyone from the DIHA committee wants to look in here they’re going to have sift through a pile of information about forum software, statistics software and other assorted crap including this topic which they probably don’t want to read. Perhaps I’ll call it the “Hockey Administration forum” or something like that. I could then give a bunch more people access to this forum as at the moment I’m limiting it to those who are currently or are interested in organising hockey stuff.

A particular person was a tad offended by some of it recently. Even if it was meant in gest it certainly didn’t come across that way.
Can’t say I’d be too bothered with coming out as a gay hockey player though, there’s not exactly a shortage of them around. Unfortunately my ass isn’t that flexible.

Actually your posts are going to come in handy for me.
There’s an EXTREMELY in the closet hockey player in Dunedin who is totally paranoid about coming out of the closet around their teammates and I’m having trouble convincing them that people aren’t going to burn them at the stake for it. I think seeing that another player is willing to joke about their sexuality in public will be quite helpful in my crusade to turn all hockey players gay.Ryan,
