MemberFast reply to my PM!
Ryan Wick claims this has nothing to do with me and it’s between Kyle and him.
I’ll be moving Kyle’s post in here as it does seem to have upset him for whatever reason. Personally I thought it was funny, but anyhows …

MemberWell I’ve decided to move it anyway after showing it to one of my lab mates who agreed that he was just being an ass. I then merged it with my topic here in the Website Admin forum.
Is this as stupid’a post I think it is? Or am I missing something major here?

Ryan Hellyer
MemberOn second thought, I think you’ll need to split the topic, then move the bit you split off in here. You can’t move individual posts I don’t think.

Is this miss-post from the wrong username? Or is there actually something funny about this. I’ve left it coz I’m figuring Ryan can’t be that much of a dickhead. If any of you moderatory people read this and don’t get it either then please move the post into the Website Administration forum.

MemberI like the idea, but I’d prefer to just link to the PDF documents.
There’s two reasons for that:
(a) it takes less effort
(b) there’s less likely to be a mistake and if there is, it’ll be by the person who made the original document, not mePerhaps I should link to the PDF schedule inside the main schedule? So you could click on the DIHL B-grade Round #1 in the little scroll windown thing and that would send you to the PDF?

MemberBring whatever you feel is necessary to improve your hockey – although I’m assuming a helmet is mandatory.
Typically in Canada, 80% of players brought full gear. Personally I just took skates, helmet, knee and elbow pads.

MemberDo you mean links within the sidebar on the right? Or somewhere else.
You’re right, they’re not very well posted.

It seems to have been done behind closed doors, which is odd since I’m on the committee which I’m assuming is in charge of it!?

Hell, if it weren’t for these forums and the fact that I know Kyle runs the DIHL, I wouldn’t have the faintest idea how to let the DIHA know what’s working for me and my team, and what isn’t.[/quote:3i49wavq]Ah, you seem to have a firm grasp of the state of the DIHA <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="
” title=”Smiley” /> Your above comments are exactly why I started the site in the first place. I signed up for the SK8 Cup but couldn’t find out anything about it – I mean nothing, zero, zippo, capput, I don’t even think I knew what team I was on till the first game (memory’s a little fuzzy on that though).

[i:1h8uc8e7]- am assuming that’s the correct word, but I’m no language expert -[/i:1h8uc8e7]
guest’s post said something about a bunch of homosexual comments in the administration forum, I think it was posted in the morning, but disappeared later on when I went to go back and re-read it (I was busy at work at that time). I guess he realised he was giving away a little too much information. My current theory is that someone in this forum has discussed the posts in here with him. I thought I knew exactly who it was that passed on the information, but it turns out I forgot to reactivate that persons access to this forum on changing software so it can’t be them, I think the person who actually passed on the information is oblivious to who guest is. If you read over guest’s previous posts it’s fairly obvious who it is, the person I thought it was after their first post or so is still the person I think it is now, so you shouldn’t even need to read all of them. Since his first post it has become more and more obvious who it is though as I was only guessing initially and there were a few other potential candidates.

MemberKids power skating is on Tuesday, DIHL has moved to a later time on the same night.
I hate the current schedule, it’s a mess. Apart from the notice I put up on the website last night I haven’t seen any other advertising for it.

MemberUm, good point. It hadn’t occured to me that the information wasn’t incorrect, it was just going to be if you hadn’t pointed it out to me. I’ll reword the news item accordingly – in fact I’ve deleted it now. Actually, depending on how you view it, that information was not incorrect as the news item said that the peewees practice time was Tuesday 6pm up until two days ago, that implies to me that this Tuesdays practice was going to be at 6pm which was incorrect. At any rate I’ve deleted the news item now.
Do you think it’s wise not to mention when there are errors though? There shouldn’t be any, but I’d rather let people know when there are – which unfortunately is quite often <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/sad.gif" alt="
” title=”Sad” /> There have been instances in the last two years where players have come from as far away as Milton (and had to get a ride in with someone for the purpose) only to discover that the rink was shut despite the practice time being posted here on the website.
I’m a little suspicious that the premier team practice time is inaccurate too as I think they’re losing their practice and it’s being replaced by the new “Advanced” session on Thursday nights. That was my main reason for the warning about practice times, but I could be wrong.
