MemberI’d be inclined to post this in the main forum. There may be some randoms out there keen to pull a team together we don’t know about. I’ve emailed it to Deb Handcock in case she wants to pull together a 2007 Bears/2006 Bullfrogs DIHL B-grade team.

[/quote:35zwytt7]No, but I’ll burn it for you for free as long as you agree to burn copies for anyone else who wants a copy, charge $5 for them and give the money back to the club minus the cost of the disks. I highly doubt you’ll get many takers, last time I did a DVD for the DIHL I sold about 10 copies I think at $5 each but it’s an easy way to make a small bit of cash for the club for minimal effort.

MemberHans talked to me last night, he’s planning to work on it over the next few days. He wants more lights from me so fingers crossed I can get a few more! We’ve got 6x 55 W fluorescent bulbs up there at the moment (330 W total) and he wants 12, so that’d be 660 W total, should be enough to keep it nice and bright <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif" alt="
” title=”Tongue” /> At the very least there’s still the three original ones up there so that’d be 495 W total.

MemberYeah, but not that easy unfortunately. Most hockey sites around NZ really aren’t interested in link exchanging. The Aardwolfs Ice Hockey Club and the Queenstown Ice Hockey Club are the only ones I think. NZ Ice Hockey Federation refuses to link to anything but our Southern League page.
The other thing which increases your Google ranking is updated content. Content which changes, or more to the point, is updated regularly generally gets a higher Google ranking than those that don’t.

MemberNo idea, you’ll need to ask Hans. I’m not sure where he’s at with it and I haven’t seen him for ages. It would be nice to have this up and running soon, I was planning to have it built by now.

Good game though. I enjoyed it much more than our previous game. Our star goalie Jamiee stopped heaps of shots, but unfortunately she was peppered with quite a few too! Good performance by her though and definitely the player of the season for the Bears IMHO.
Noticeable events during the game were, of course me scoring a goal <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="
” title=”Smiley” /> Um, someone else scoring a goal for the Bears but I’m not sure who (Deb maybe?). Plus the amusing times I had to do complete turnarounds and skate back where I came from coz I had no one to pass to! Some amusingly long, but effective passes from behind our own goal line to Deb Handcock and Kara Ross must have looked amusing, those Johnnies guys have a habit of leaving giant holes for our players to wiggle through and if we managed to get enough sting on the puck and aim the little bugger onto our team mates tape then they were off on a nice breakaway past those wretched Johnnies boys <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif" alt="
” title=”Tongue” /> Not that we got any goals from it, but it did help us get the puck down their end on occasion. Deb and Kara are definitely the positional players on our team and made my job on defense a whole lot easier.
Good passing by the other team was a problem for us, lots of passing coming up towards our net made defense a little awkward and caught us off guard a few times.
I notice the John McGlashan teams style of play changed somewhat since the first round robin game. The first time round I was being constantly hounded, often with 3-4 guys on me whenever I got the puck which made it really difficult to do anything with it. Last time was a little like that too, but this time they spread out and concentrated on us as a team instead of marking me like crazy. It gave me more room to do something with the puck instead of just dumping it, but it left their defense a lot more solid. I’m not sure which method of attack was best and I’m not sure if it was intentional, but it was definitely a noticeable change in tactics.
And what the heck was with pulling the goalie when you’re 11-1 up?
