MemberIck, those things are weird.
I’ve seen heaps of people using them. But they sound weird, look weird and the only benefits I’ve heard anyone who’s used them before say is that you don’t need to sharpen them. Personally I’ll stick to sharpening my skates the old fashioned way.

Is this that thing that Phil was organising a while back?
That’s pretty short notice for an event.Um, I’ll think about whether I want to play or not. Depends what else is on at the time. Naseby is a nice place to play though so is definitely tempting.

Memberhaha, nice. I’ll add in here that my RSS reader seems to be goofing up my time spent online hence I yanked the time spent off-line from the stats page. And I can remove the code from the source if I really felt like it, just requires deleting the code <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif" alt="

MemberThe main problem I see with that original Stampede proposal is that it looks really good on screen, but I think the orange would be a lot duller in real life. It looks kind of fluorescent on screen, but getting that brightness in real life is probably not possible.

MemberYou can, but the code gets messy … man this conversation is getting way too geeky all of a sudden …
There’s two lines of thought on this, you can either used Javascript to make the menu work in IE or you can use a stack of tables hidden inside IE conditional comments, the Javascript method works faster and requires much less code. The menu still works without Javascript on, or at least the first tier does anyway. The Javascript method is also more accessible for screen readers which apparently get messed up with a bunch of tables hidden in conditional comments.
Dropdowns aren’t a perfect solution unfortunately, IE really throws a spanner in the works for making these things. They’re also annoying if you’re not using a visual browser. But I figure there can’t be too many blind people who play hockey!

[/quote:2vqqn2q9]I didn’t think that design in anyway related to the current Stampede though. I like it coz it’s original, albeit an original idea that someone else came up with.

She needs to complete a whole proposal thingy with options for various logos, designs, letter heads, possibly website design and so forth for an organisation/company. I’ve seen the work she’s doing for a project for the first semester of this year and it’s looking really great. Basically the idea is to get some sort of vague colour scheme/name (or lack thereof) sorted out for her by mid/late June so she can launch into it in July. Nothing she does [b:3fyuj45n]needs[/b:3fyuj45n] to be used by the club, but she’ll be supplying various options for everything and I assume the club will be able to get a complete branding package out of it. If club members can come up with something better then they’re welcome to have a crack of course, the more heads working on this the better.
Beth incidentally also happens to be my flatmate hence the connection to the DIHA <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="

But publishing a news item from one publisher on another publication (website) I’m certain would definitely not be legit.
But I’ll trust Chris when he says it wont matter shit all.

MemberI can get it to work here in the forum, but it just wont work in IE6/IE7 (shonky browsers). Both of those browsers use a little javascript to make the menu work properly which I’m assuming is clashing with some of the javascript the forum uses. But they function fine in everything else. There were a bunch of other problems putting it into the forum as well, but I fixed all those.
