Bare in mind that anything I add needs to be idiot proof as Bode is not particularly computer literate – in fact she knows jack all about computers.

I had a big argument with Jason Price about this last year. It turns out I was right and he was wrong! So stick that Jason Price! Not that he can see this or anything.

So you’d need to cover the whole surface which isn’t really an option. Or indent the surface into the concrete which is also not viable. It would be really annoying not being able to practice deking the goalie on inline skates too as the synthetic ice would get in the way.
The consensus (at least among the small group of experts I’ve asked so far) is to use a plastic roller rink surface which would also not damage the goalie gear. Cost would be somewhere around $2000.

"Kyle":290lu17s wrote:Well I think if you’re going to steal Joe’s photos, then your credit should link to his site at the least[/quote:290lu17s]
Yep. Will add that. Is http://planb.smugmug.com/%5B/url:290lu17s%5D correct Joe?
"Kyle":290lu17s wrote:I also wonder if anyone thought to get permission to use the photos of the kids for Jenel’s business.[/quote:290lu17s]Um, I did know a bit about the legal issues with photos in New Zealand but I can’t remember the details. As far as I know it isn’t necessary to get permission from anyone regardless of age as long as they’re in a public place – sports venues generally count as public places. Our laws are definitely different from those of the USA in regards to this type of thing.
"Kyle":290lu17s wrote:Unless Jenel wants it, I’d take out the guestbook. I’ve seen people use these for personal sites with some success, but for a business site?[/quote:290lu17s]I agree with Joe. As long as it’s only saying good things then I don’t see a problem and I have seen them on business sites before, depends on the business though. In this instance I think it’s a good idea (hence I added it) as it allows for testimonials to be placed there. The testimonials are all pre-moderated so people can’t just go spamming it willy nilly. Feel free to convince me otherwise though
"Kyle":290lu17s wrote:I’d move the cv to a different page. And I’d add more information about what she’s offering – powerskating, hockey training for kids to prem level players, including all aspects of play. Those are the search terms she’ll be looking to turn up on.[/quote:290lu17s]Yeah, that requires me to write a bunch more stuff though
"Kyle":290lu17s wrote:The image of Jenel on the front page isn’t showing.[/quote:290lu17s]Hmm, odd, my mistake probably.
"Kyle":290lu17s wrote:And the title at the top of the pages. You must be able to come up with something better than that?[/quote:290lu17s]Do you mean the main header? The one in blue and white with the dark grey background? Or the actual page titles ie: freshedgehockey.com >> Home etc..?
I’ve kept the main header simple because she doesn’t have a logo or anything like that, but the design there at the moment vaguely matches that of some business cards she made up in Calgary. The titles are definitely changeable, do you think I should have more key words in there?
"Kyle":290lu17s wrote:And the name in the title ‘fresh edge hockey’ doesn’t match what you call it in the first sentence ‘fresh edige ice hockey’.[/quote:290lu17s]Woops!

And yeah, there’s always two sides to a story. That and people make mistakes … which apparently I’ve done yet again as I just realised I still haven’t remembered to post those stats that Aaron sent ages back! Sorry Aaron

MemberIt looks like sticking them in the same post isn’t an option. So … I’ve stuck them into their own page … internationalnews »[/url:2z9s6bq6]
And taken out a few of the feeds which Gertrude was posting as some were just full of stupid crap. The posts do require a little editing on occasion as they tend to look a little messed up. So moderators feel free to edit them if you can be bothered, no dramas though.

MemberDamnit! Gertrude is ticking me off. No matter how hard I try and can’t get that bitch to post in just one topic. She always posts in separate topics. Stupid cow! I might have to kick her fat ass out the door if I can’t figure out how to make her do what I want. Thanks to Azzy for letting me know the dumb ass shit that she was doing.
First the menu, now Gertrude!
Web admin throwing paddy!
Ryan,
PS: I’ll leave a post on the forum I downloaded Gertrude from, hopefully they’ll be able to help fix that bitch.

MemberGo figure, Dunedin decides to pull finger (this season) and actually have a serious crack at beating Queenstown for the first time in quite some while, then Queenstown fails to field a decent team the whole season long – well so far at least. Rather weird, but I’m sure they have their reasons. Would be nice if one of them could drop in and give us the low down direct from the horses mouth though.
