Member[b:2h98131e]Edit:[/b:2h98131e] Original example was pretty shit. This is a bit better. One major problem is that the dropdown menu falls behind it <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/sad.gif" alt="
” title=”Sad” /> Any of you know how to fix that?
Something like this was what I had in mind.

MemberI had a hunt through the Hostgator support forums and it seems that php5 is available on ALL reseller and shared hosting accounts (I have shared, Mike has reseller). There’s some information/instructions on it here … http://forums.hostgator.com/showthread.php?t=12436&highlight=reseller+php5%5B/url:1q8yjkx6%5D

I’m not sure how much there is to sort out having never done anything like this before though so not sure how much earlier before our game to suggest we meet. It of course also depends on WHEN our game is which we still haven’t heard yet!?
Perhaps at a bar somewhere if there’s any open at whatever time our game is? Or perhaps after one of our games if our games are too early.

[/quote:3dmekgx3]There are lots of ways to do this and most are free.
I’m a big panorama fan and have spent ridiculous amounts of time splicing them together. It’s not terribly difficult, it just takes a little messing round to get them to look right if the camera work was a bit shonky. The easiest way to do it is normally to use a wide angle lens on a tripod and as long as the focus stays the same for the whole shoot then the software can normally just clip them together seamlessly in about a minute <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="
” title=”Smiley” />
360 degree panoramas in ALL directions is a little trickier though <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif" alt="
” title=”Tongue” /> I’m not sure who you’d go about doing that.

My accounts always been php4, So I always code to php4 which is not hard and offers much the same stuff bar a few handy functions and a better object oriented way of coding.[/quote:3moe6oto]You may be on an old account which doesn’t support php5 yet or something. You can upgrade fairly easily I think if you submit a ticket to them. Although I imagine you do have support for it anyway, you just don’t realise it <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif" alt="

I think you activate it by changing something in an .htaccess file somewhere, but I’ve never looked into the details. They don’t advertise this feature much as I guess it’s something only a few people need/want.

On request, I’ve changed the poll so that you can now edit your poll voting choice to accomodate the late entries.

A panorama of the rink would be totally awesome <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="
” title=”Smiley” />
Even better … multiple panoramas from various spots … I’d like to try to set it up online so that you could scroll from side to side and then click on various dots on each panorama to ‘warp’ to a new spot to view the next panorama. Kinda like a virtual tour of the facility. I’m not 100% sure how to do that, but I’m sure it’s possible and probably not too difficult.

Currently we’re careering wildly towards having three different systems not interacting at all.[/quote:131uplat]True. Although the rink scheduling system should probably be different actually as it should be hosted on the rinks website, not ours really.
The emailing system needs to tie in with the stats and the hockey game scheduling system.
AFAIK Mike has done a decent amount of the email system, so perhaps what he’s done so far should be used as a base?
I have ZERO experience with this stuff however, so need some help with this side of things. Volunteers VERY welcome <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="

The number of times I’ve asked for people to volunteer for stuff and they squirm at even the simplest things ticks me off no end. Nice to see someone enjoying their volunteer work for once <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="
