There was and then I got rid of it:

    (a) because no one was using it
    (b) because it was an extra bit of crap to maintain

I should probably have a mobile style sheet here, but I don’t think I’ve set that up. Call it laziness <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif" alt=":P” title=”Tongue” />

How many spectators will the place be able to fit? Neil told me once that they could jam about 1600 in with the current seating plan, but that new monster (I’m assuming it’s temporary) looks like it would hold a hell of a lot more than the existing setup.

So first up, I’m guessing there will be speed skating held there as it looks like a track is marked on the design. What about figure skating? And the curling will be held on the main rink I assume?

Any idea on when the construction of the big bit out the front is going to take place?

Actually, is all of this definitely going ahead? Or is it just in development stage?

    Lots of questions ….

Kate Strain plus I assume Susan Green is there and maybe Alyx Anderson as well.

    Any others we’ve missed?

I still haven’t received anything. Sounds like people are keen on seeing it though as I’m getting requests.

If it is made using one of those online Google thingies, could you just leave a link here to it? Or do they not work like that?

Graham, I assume that is not me you are talking about? As I haven’t received anything from in relation to 3D images.

Yeah, it’s my understanding that Queenstown will get the hockey, which is a shame, but not too far to travel. Wonder how much the tickets would be.

I doubt Team Canada would be playing in Queenstown. Their rink wouldn’t be up to scratch.

I was about to add a post to say that Hayley Wickenheiser is retired so we won’t see her. But it turns out I’m wrong <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” />

Incidentally, she is the only female player ever to compete (apart from the occasional goalie) in a fully professional hockey game. She played a season and a bit for HC Salamat where she scored one goal in Finland before heading back to Canada to play with the most famous of all hockey legends …. Bode

Awesome. Pity about the hockey, but not surprising.

It would be a big boost for the rink and city if it happened.

Problem averted. She is much happier now after I had a conversation with her by email.

Chris you are being a cunt. She has now told the NZIHF she will not be completing the site because of your comments.

Regardless of whether this is a discussion forum or not and regardless of whether you have the right to make your opinion known, there is also the fundamental fact that what you said achieved nothing but making you look like a fucking ass hole and lost the NZIHF a valuable volunteer. The sport relies on volunteers, we can’t operate without them.

It also reflects badly on our club, so I’m moving it in here.
