    Aw, I missed the posts <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/sad.gif" alt=":(” title=”Sad” />

Did you get their IP address?
If they ever actually registered we’d be able to track them down to their real identity that way.
Although I’m guessing it was probably just a random spammer.

So where is said movie for viewing? I think I should inspect for authenticity <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” /> It’s one of those jobs us web admin people need to do from time to time <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” />

Looks like the site isn’t amounting to anything. It’s still just a bunch of images and says ‘coming July 2006’.

Well that sounds like tough bickies for those in the sixth team. Did some of them sign up after Sunday night? Shouldn’t they be pruned out? They were late anyway.

The goalie of Jackies will just need to be turned away. There’s obviously no room for them anyway. And I definitely wouldn’t like to see Andre’s kid being signed up this late.

We could put say an extra 4 onto Claires team (14 total), leaving 18.

Did any of them get paid for by any of the schools teams (seperate from their actual teams). Ie: John Bradfield paying up the money for his team and then handing over some seperate forms for extra players of his? If so, I’m guessing they were all late and hence could be rejected as well.

Perhaps this would get us down to 15?

The other teams will have to agree to taking on more players is the thing. We can’t just shove players at them and tell them they have no choice. So if they don’t want more then those 20+ players need to go somewhere.

I’m not sure Jack and Mark will want more players.

Claire obviously needs more though. Do you know how many she wants in total? I don’t think I’ve asked her that before, although I spose we could just decide ourselves and hope she doesn’t mind. More will cost less for the rest of the team anyway so there shouldn’t be too many complaints. Below are lists of all the registrations I collected in. The full lists are in an excel document which I can forward.

Could you collate these into team lists? I can’t do anything with the info. above as I don’t know who’s registered with what team.

    B-Grade registrations:
    callumn McLaughlan
    Mark Hareb
    Jon Kitchen
    Andy Noble
    Robert Owens
    Michael Mitchell
    Gareth Dorset
    Jack Li
    Marc Dudley
    Jason Sedgwick
    Callumn McLaughlan
    Estelle Baker
    Jane Soper
    Jordan Bishop
    Gina Bosselman

    A-grade registrations:
    Peter Lamb
    Nick Reymond
    Duncan Sykes
    Aaron Benda
    Tim Honore
    Mike Sam

Why the heck was Estelle paying us? She’s on the Beasts who have already paid up all their money.

Ah, I hadn’t looked in here for a while!

Looks good for B-grade, A-grade not so healthy!

Where are we at with B-grade entries? Could you post a list of all the players, goalies, teams etc. so we can start looking at where to put players etc. Becky was going to play in goal for Claires team, but with two paying individual goalies entries last night and Becky not being willing to pay, then she might have to miss out, so I particuarly need the info. on goalies so I can let her know what’s going on.

And yes, of course if individuals sign up on time and teams don’t, then the individuals get priority.

The last time I’d asked about going up to Christchurch I’d been told there was no way of getting ice time before 12pm even in the summer.

However the Aardwolves said last night that any time from October to March there should be plenty of ice time available.

So I suggested they book us in some time and we’ll turn up. They weren’t keen on October as they have some other teams visiting around that time.

How about mid November? Would that be after or before uni. exams?
Travel up on Saturday morning, play a game in the afternoon, one at night, then another the next morning before heading back to Dunedin?

Yeah, the photos page will be getting an overhaul at some stage. I’ve been trying to find the best (ie: easiest) way to do it, and I think I’ve come up with something recently. It’ll take me a while to get it up and running though, and my darned laptop broke yesterday and now wont boot. Have just resurrected a REALLLLY old PC with like 32 MB RAM and stuck Linux on it, now need to learn how to use Linux before can sort out the photos gallery! This might take me a while but I’ll get there eventually, or I’ll fix my laptop, whichever comes first.

Thanks for the comments though, I wouldn’t have added the text otherwise. I could add the text to the current photogallery but it’s a pain coz I need to modify like a billion pages. The new design should be much easier to deal with – if it works.

Well you’ll be back in time for the DIHL atleast.

Good luck for the game tonight <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” /> Playing the Moose is fun, I played against them in Gore a few years ago. We had like a thousand people cheering us on (most of Gore!), and the kids kept asking us for our autographs and cards – the Moose handed out baseball style cards with their mugshots on.

Most of the bugs are fixed now.

The photos gallery is now split up into seperate pages with a simple sub-menu at the top of each page.

The competitions page is pretty much the same, but I’ve added a sub-menu to the top to help with navigation. I may or may not split that page up, depends if I get round to it. It’s easier dealing with single pages, particularly at this stage as I haven’t completely sorted the coding of the site yet and don’t want to have to modify a gazillion pages.

Hmm, I was intentionally trying to avoid that as I was finding that people weren’t rifling through all the different pages and just read a couple before stopping. I thought maybe putting them all on the same page would be a little easier as you can just scroll down and read them all sequentially.

I’ll be adding a sub-menu to the photos gallery soon because of the image loading issues it’s having so I might transfer that design over to the competitions page so that you can atleast skip to the section you want.

The other reason for keeping them all on the same page is that it’s less for me to maintain which is nice. I’ll think about it though and might change it later on.

Oh yeah, a lot of them are quite brief too and don’t really deserve their own page as such. But I guess I could just combine a bunch of them and stick them on a page labelled “other competitions”.

    Ryan,

PS: just found another bug too, the forum is sposed to open in a new window, not in the current one. I’ll fix that tomorrow probably.
