A ‘technically’ issue. A bunch of that material was ‘borrowed’ from elsewhere, and making a small income off it probably is more likely to annoy the original copyright holder. But I’d be surprised if they ever found it.
[/quote:12aexkjd]There is no copyright holder. Well, sort of. About half of it is from Wikipedia which is GPL content so I’m free to do with it what I please. The rest is either my own jibbering or from Dan Jang. Dan ‘borrowed’ most of it from various books so it’s not really his either.

Erm, we’ll see. I could do that, but I’d rather not as it would require browser sniffing which is quite annoying considering it seems to be a bug in the browser, not my code. I’ll try to find a better solution.
"Kyle":1a472l7z wrote:Good to have that back. When I go to the main page it acts like I’m logged in – shows all the forums I have access to. When I go to the forum main page, it just shows the three general ones. A bug?[/quote:1a472l7z]Have you tried refreshing the page? It sounds like some sort of caching issue as it’s working fine for me.
Ryan HellyerMember"Kyle":zrkonexp wrote:Forum looks nice Ryan. Why doesn’t https://dunedinicehockey.hellyer.kiwi/forum/ work anymore – redirects to home page. Is it no longer possible to construct a front page just for the forum?
[/quote:zrkonexp]I’ve added the forum index back.
There’s now a bug which causes the site to redirect you to the forum index on logging out now though which I’ll need to fix some time.
Ryan HellyerMemberI’ve sent an email to Joyce for adding to her next mail out.
Hopefully the committee won’t have any issues with this.

Ryan HellyerMemberWoops, must’ve forgotten to add the link. It’s there now though.
Ryan HellyerMemberI’ve been trying to avoid people using just the forum. You aren’t the first person to ask for this though so I’ll look at putting another one back in. Some people kept bypassing the main page which was a pain as they were missing out on the most important bits of news, hence removed the forum index.
I did this in a mockup I showed a bunch of people a while back and no one commented on it so I assumed it wouldn’t be a problem – ironically the people I showed the mock up to are the ones that have requested having it back!
Ryan HellyerMemberThis is now a board of it’s own. So you can post polls in here now too if you want.
Ryan HellyerMemberI’ve updated the first post in the this topic as there have been some changes to the video embedding setup.
You no longer need to add tags to embed YouTube videos, plus there is now support for 47 different video clip sites, not just YouTube.
Unfortunately, in the process of upgrading the system, the old embeds now no longer work. They will be fixed eventually, but in the mean time you can still visit the links which are posted.
Ryan HellyerMemberTesting … We now have quick reply boxes at the end of topics so you don’t need to click “reply” anymore. Jason Sedgwick requested this about a year ago, but I never figured out how to do it until a week or so ago.
If you can see this post, then the quick reply box is working … test over.
Ryan HellyerMemberActually … it didn’t work on any of the main pages of the site expect the home page and the forum.
But it’s fixed now.
Ryan HellyerMemberWhew, transfer seems to have gone through okay now <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/grin.gif" alt="” title=”Grin” />
Ryan HellyerMemberAnd the prize for moron of the year goes to … me!
I just spent the past 30 mins trying to figure out why the new forum wasn’t working <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/sad.gif" alt="” title=”Sad” /> Turns out I had deleted most of it <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif" alt="” title=”Tongue” /> Woops!
Things will be a bit messy this afternoon as I attempt to do some major alterations ready for Christmas day.
Sorry for any inconvenience <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/cool.gif" alt="” title=”Cool” />
Ryan HellyerMemberHow come Janes’ balance says she’s in debt? She told me she was totally squared up, but according to your records she owes $148.47.
[i:19xrp48b]off-topic: is the ‘ in Janes’ used correctly above?[/i:19xrp48b][/size:19xrp48b]
Ryan HellyerMemberHere’s the link … http://beasts.dunedinicehockey.hellyer.kiwi/Accounts.htm
Figured someone would be asking this question so am beating them to it <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt="” title=”Smiley” />

Unless I’ve horribly misunderstood something, but I don’t think I have.
