    [b:ebw66g9j]Update:[/b:ebw66g9j]
Neil has kindly agreed to provide some fencing he owns to protect the cooling tower thingy. Hans is going to weld it on for us. Graham is working on getting the nets for us and I’ll take my new lights along and try and rustle a few more up if possible – or at least some protective covers for the existing ones. Then all we need is wood which James has offered us and some tools, bolts etc. for attaching the netting etc. in to place, then we have 1x fully functional shooting gallery <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” /> Hans and Neil are both happy with the plan. I guess some more fancy stuff like a plastic shooting surface or special inline surface could be added, plus maybe the windows that Graham mentioned, but I’d like to see the main part done asap so we can start making use of it <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” />

Junita is playing DIHL eh? someone should ask her where her brother daniel is, he is a really good goalie, little agro sometimes but stops pucks. If I remember rightly he was goalie of tournament last year[/quote:1zj11gco]

I thought he was Juanita’s cousin. I’ll email her and see if she knows how to get in touch with him.

The Aardwolfs are [b:2qrtb1rl]definitely[/b:2qrtb1rl] not coming for the Easton Cup. They pulled out last week apparently. I confirmed this with their club president Clive Murphie a few minutes ago.

Not too shabby by the Bears I reckon <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” /> I was concerned at the size of Jamie our goalie when I first met her, but she’s very skilled and stops heaps of shots. Her positioning is particularly good. Our peewee players were much better this week which helped a lot and Juanita Kinraid was handy at pinning the Beasts and generally getting in their way. Plus of course we had that bean pole who sunk a puck in the net which helped somewhat <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif" alt=":P” title=”Tongue” />

The Beasts need to sort out their defense a little, they were a little too easy to break through. I’m not normally particularly good at skating from goal line to goal line but I managed it a few times last night with ease. Hopefully that gets sorted before I play for them in the Easton Cup on the weekend!

Here’s the full Beasts roster, there’s a couple who wont be there for all/some games. But we should have about 15 players plus 2 goalies hopefully.

    1 Li Jack
    2 Dorset Gareth
    3 Owens Robert
    4 Sedgwick Jason
    5 McLaughlan Callam
    6 Baker Estelle
    7 Hareb Mark (M)
    8 Honore Tim
    9 Noble Andy
    10 Kitchen Jon
    11 Mitchell Michael
    12 Laing Christopher
    13 Muenster Julian
    14 Jenel Bode
    15 Hellyer Ryan
    16 Reymond Nick
    17 Hurndel Ash (G) *
    18 Dudley Neil (G) *
    19 Soper Jane *

    * = definitely wont be playing during Easton Cup

EDIT: neither goalie is playing now

Were we asked to field teams? I don’t recall being asked, although I may be just forgetting.

Nope, you can change those to your hearts content. All it’s doing is causing an error during the login process if you fill in those fields, basically they don’t go anywhere hence the error and hence the registration process fails. Although they do seem to be breaking through and registering ‘enough’ to show up in the members list – apparently that’s a bug in the software which is unfixable without a complete redesign of the program – ala PHPBB3 which is due out in a while. Probably wont upgrade for a while though as none of the themes from PHPBB2 will work in PHPBB3 <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/sad.gif" alt=":(” title=”Sad” />

Incase anyone’s interested, here’s a very crude mock-up of what the stats will look like. Feel free to recommend changes <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” />
