Oh, by the way, I also noticed that you are an exceedingly tall man. Has anyone ever pointed this out to you?

Actually I was watching the video clip of the Sharks Johnnies OB game that Ryan posted when I was refereeing.

I was astounded by just how short everyone else on the rink was. Did y’all forget to grow or something?

I kept taking the puck into the corner and not being able to get it out properly. Was starting to get annoying.

Easier for me to play D against you guys. I need a bit of a run-up to get up to speed.

Joe said that they completely flaked on the checking game that was on earlier this evening in Queenstown. Turned up with 7 people, none of their top players, no Stampede players, when our guys had all turned up expecting to play another big game.

What’s going on over there in Queenstown?

Stampede had a morning and afternoon practice in qtown.

Joe also said that they didn’t show for the morning practice either.

And Queenstown made the decision this year that all their Stampede players would play prem grade, which is cool – seems to be good for the grade if all the best players are in it. If that’s the case, then why are the Stampede scheduling practices which conflict with prem games?

Unless the prems have contact details for him, I have nothing.

He paid for the DIHL, but I never got contact details off him.

If you want to be recreate anything in the shooting gallery more than the way that ice pucks fly through the air, you really should invest in the decent inline pucks. Ice pucks don’t handle well on concrete, they don’t shoot the same.

Decent inline pucks are unfortunately about $20 each, but they’re truly worth it.

If people really want crappy pucks, the inline club might be able to help out with some of our more munted ones (these are actually good for shooting, but no good for puck handling or passing). Jenel has these at the moment, but I’ll need to retrieve the decent ones out first, as they’re mine.

Could do with a little more umph in the team. How about some more of the women – Megan, Tess, Zanzee etc?

This came up at a committee meeting last year. Or that is, it came up when someone said that they’re not coming because of something silly that someone did at this end. I can’t ‘remember exactly what was said though.

B grade is locked down. Kings HS are going to play the Sunday night game, 7pm.

Mark, I’ve put Beasts in to play the Saturday night game, 7:30pm.

Both games will be followed with A grade games. I’ll be emailing all the A grade players about that soon, we’ll just throw teams together I suspect since no current teams have come forward to play.

I’m just not sure how people get to it if it’s not listed anywhere (that I can find).

It seems to be a unlisted forum, so people will only be able to access it through that link you posted.

The International News forum isn’t coming up on the main forum page.

Which might make it tricky for people to find Gertrude’s work.

Oh now you’re [u:35csssyd]really[/u:35csssyd] reaching Stefan.

Tom kicked your butt in the better hockey player video contest, so now you’re changed sports to golf.

In that case, Happy Gilmore is the best hockey player. Did you see that wicked putt he made on the 18th to beat Shooter McGavin? Clearly Stanley Cup quality that was.

The story (tidbit) was on the front page of nhl.com, in a moderately prominent place. That’s about as good as web linkage goes.

Be interesting to see how hits on our site, and the iceblacks.com and nzicehockey.co.nz site go over the next 48 hours – see how many people have browsed over for a look.

Unfortunately Ryan, they didn’t link to our site, they missed out a w in www. I’ve filled in their form, hopefully they’ll fix it.
