Yeah, something like that.
KyleMemberWhere you say:
DIHL B-grade follows section 6.3 Rules: Non-checking, No Slap-Shots:
DIHL B-grade follows section 6.4 Rules: Non-checkingthe second one should be A grade
I’d move the documents to the side or down the bottom. From an advertising point of view, you want the stuff about what it is and when it’s happening first.
Maybe you could add a hotlinks box over on the right with that stuff for when it’s actually needed for an upcoming dihl?
KyleMemberI saw a bunch of these kids play tonight. There’s some really good kids from elsewhere in the region – one went from his own blue line, showed up a bunch of midgets for stick handling _and_ pace, and then scored. There were also a bunch that were really committed on defence – chasing and diving after breakaways, going down and blocking shots. The house league game which included some out-of-towners was really close, 5-4 with a late go ahead goal with ten seconds left from a player who’d just come out of the box ten seconds earlier.
It’d be well worth turning up at 11:30 tomorrow morning and watching Dunedin-Queenstown, should be a great game. And the Dunedin Juniors are playing at 10 so get down there earlier and catch the double header. Juniors are pretty physical so if they stay on the legal side of things, should be good games.
KyleMemberI point up the page to vpatrol’s comments on ownership. The NHL contracts out the broadcast rights to one or more media networks – probably several, one in each region. The reason we used to get NHL here is because Sky picks up ESPN and ESPN had the rights. In order for us to get NHL therefore, Sky would need to pick up whatever network was carrying it. Can’t see that happening.
Sky certainly wouldn’t buy the rights independently, even if they were available for this region. Sky’s interested in how many additional subscriptions they’re going to get out of picking up an event. NHL would only get them a few hundred at the most, and it would cost way more than that income to get the rights.

[/quote:21ropvtm]Sounds like I need to earn a lot more money. The plan is fine, unless you want to start downloading 2 and a half long videos a couple of times a week.
KyleMemberAll the games here are 8:30, 10:00, 11:30, 4:30 for these double-headers. Has been so all season. Dunno why the sihl schedule was never updated.
KyleMemberSky used to have a couple of games a week live, and then more once you got into postseason.
Personally I downloaded the 5 Stanley Cup finals games and that was my broadband for the month blown.
Make more sense for someone to maintain a library and people to burn games to DVD if anyone else wants them. Silly to have two people in Dunedin both downloading the same two games.
KyleMemberLarry Martin (peewees manager, Jaimee Wood’s dad, played for the Bears this last time) may also be keen to help.
KyleMemberI got 102,072.

[/quote:1wwhsrr7]Yes, but everyone I met over there admits that they’re useless and annoying! But they still have them.
KyleMember4:30pm.
KyleMemberYeah. I’m still going on my post, but I haven’t been able to touch it for a while. When I’m finished with it I’ll post something here saying so.
But if Jane is planning to start in late August, she will need get some of these things moving soon.
KyleMemberI asked them. They said they didn’t have any NZIHL players.
I’ve put you down, let’s see how we go. If you play it’ll be on Sunday, so we’ll have Saturday’s game to see what their A grade means.

[/quote:3h6owdg5]Local media might accept that for broadcast, but national TV channels won’t.
Occasionally they use home movies (or even stuff off youtube, which looks ghastly) but that’s only when they really want a story, and couldn’t get it themselves. Y’know the plane crash caught on home video camera or the fuzzy security camera showing some All Black getting in a punch up etc.
Quality is one of the reasons, but others have to do with ownership, copyright, exclusivity, and I suspect, reporters and professional camera people wanting to keep their jobs.
KyleMemberNext game I see you play Aaron, I want to see you out there with the ghetto blaster and big pants, shakin’ it between periods.
KyleMemberYeah I added you to the list. Except if the juniors play them on Sunday, and this team plays them on Saturday, you won’t be here.
In my discussions with them, they indicated that last time they were here they caught it pretty good from our team, and they said they didn’t have NZIHL or Ice Black level players.
So, just don’t play _too_ well. Maybe another own goal or something.
