[/quote:5jxf39vf]I think that was for the Sunday night social, he wants to play out for a proper game.

MemberPeople should keep adding their names. Like I said, we’re aiming for an A grade level team, so I’ll go through a similar process with how we make the teams – try and end up with the right balance (we use this numbering system in the DIHL which I won’t go into the details of, but everyone gets a number and then the numbers are averaged out).
However at this stage we really need a goalie. Nick can’t come, Toby might be a little imposing. I’m waiting to hear from Aaron.
If anyone wants to try Tony Pasco or Devin – I don’t have contact details here, feel free to do so – first in first gets to play.

MemberThat’s no good – sorry I thought Mark had booked the ice for Sunday already.
Converting whoever turns up for Sunday social game into a team won’t work, so if we take that time then a bunch of people who play the Sunday normally are going to miss out.
Who has the time? We shouldn’t go taking it off the people who turn up on Sundays by being bossy.

MemberI’ll do the B grade game.
Though I really think you should check with Jenel and see if she’ll cancel powerskating that night for us. powerskating followed by refereeing followed by A grade game. That’s going to be silly.
Powerskating followed by anything is silly.

If you go see a chemist, they’ll give you a cream for that.

MemberLeave it there. Having a place where we can put useful documents and things is good. We just haven’t got onto using it there.
Kyle
MemberBloody referees. They all suck.
Kyle
MemberHe doesn’t seem to be listed in the report:
http://www.nzicehockey.co.nz/NatLeague/index.htmSimon apparently got a goal though.

MemberA Dunedin ice hockey player was skating on natural ice over the weekend and went to retrieve a puck and fell through thin ice into the water, which was fairly deep. Luckily his teammates were on hand to help get him out, using their hockey sticks.
Which isn’t to say that people shouldn’t go looking for natural ice and skating on it, but be sensible, stay well away from any edges which boundary unfrozen water, check out the ice carefully before you skate on it, and watch out for your team mates. If possible, stick to parts of the pond which won’t be over your head.
That stuff you see in movies about cracks appearing and people having plenty of time to get away – that’s not how it happens in real life. You end up in the water, real fast, and when you try and pull yourself up out of it, the ice keeps breaking.

MemberYay Stefan. Keep it up mate.

MemberCamo tape on sticks weirds me out. Who are we hiding out sticks from? And if we were, wouldn’t white tape work best?
Kyle
MemberThis is the first time I’ve thought this, but we need at least 3, possibly 4 goalies per team.
Kyle
Memberwell then the second game won’t be starting at 10.30, as powerskating doesn’t finish until 10.
Kyle
MemberFor two people, both are refs – $20 each.
And, I’ll be one of them for the Beasts game.
Has powerskating been cancelled that night?

MemberSharks are team 1, Jets are team 2.
Though Toby was in goal for the Sharks, Nick in goal for Jets.
