I agree with Jason. I dont think we have played that well against a team in a long time if ever. We were fairly evenly matched and we did a good job of holding the puck up on offence in the zone and making the important passes. Everyone kept their heads up and looked for the passes lastnight rather than just treating the puck as a grenade. We pressured them and they were just dumping the puck almost all the time. We had people in front of the net and we were there for rebounds and we had some good breakouts but I think everyone should be aware of how the breakouts work according to what we have learnt with bode on thursaday nights.

Well done to Nick in particular who was stand out last night. Made great runs from defence and fought hard for the puck and made good passes and set up Micheal for his goal. Never let himself get in trouble on D and was constantly there to cover. I hate you

Also well done to Chris for taking me out with and awesome clipping foul that should have been called even if we were on the same team.

And for Hareb being the most bias ref ever

    Well done Beasts

Yes “stop drinking”….If by that you mean go out and drink all night after work with Nick and wear yardies on my ears like some kind of deformed moron….it really was a good time to “stop drinking”.

Wow…I lasted all of 4 days off the juice…It was all Nicks fault…he made me go and drink booze at the cook, then the museum and then Bowler….we never made it to KC’s though to try out the fancy dance moves

    Its your call Jane

If we can keep the team together and play that would be great but only if it is not going to be a problem for you in organising the DIHL

Playing against each other is fine. It will be fun. The point is that we can just enter the DIHL blindly, seperately and end up where you end up or you can take control and put something together and play with the people you want. Unfortunately we are in the middle but there is no middle.

Also, we are not too good for B grade, we are just too good altogether for B grade. Pretty much everyone on the team is eligible to play B grade. A split team would allow us to keep together certain parts of the team and still play together while also getting the opportunity to play against the rest of the team. By controlling who is on the teams we can make it more competitive and fun and ensure that we stay together as much as possible.

Its clear most of the team want to play in the A grade but it is not up to us whether we get to play in the A grade or not. Its upto Jane (as the organiser) and we will stand by whatever she thinks is best (not just for us but for the DIHL) whether that is us playing, in the A grade, as a team or not.

However other options do exist for us

Those of us elgible to play A grade could put together a team to play if necessary with a few blowins to be decided by the organiser (Jane). There was about 6 of us last season but all on different teams. Another 4-5 people of higher ability would make us competitive. Not a ideal situation but hard times call for hard measures.

And for B grade it is possible we could enter two beasts teams. We have, after all, about 15+ players. Two teams of 7 with a few blowins to bring the standard down a bit could mean that we could all play in the B grade and also as we would invariably be playing each other the standard of play would be of a competitive level. As probably a quite a few of us will play in the B grade anyway this way we get to control who we play with. Potentially we can keep people who are on the same lines togther on the same teams.

These are not ideal ideas but we are beating the same ideas (will we/wont we) around the forum here and I dont think we are getting anywhere. I know Jane has had a few ideas about what to do but with us as a team but these wont come to light till numbers for the different grades are known.
