Agreed, the quick-reply is really handy. I rarely use the wysiwyg tools anyone, just manually put the code in

By the way, it is now [b:1lzjwcjy]amazingly fucking hard[/b:1lzjwcjy] to edit your profile.

You have to click into a forum, back out into the main index, scroll to the bottom, find your name in the “Who’s Online” list, click it and then you can edit it.

Yeah, those are sponsor’s adverts, which are a bit different. I guess one question is, how much control do you have over what adverts appear.

A ‘technically’ issue. A bunch of that material was ‘borrowed’ from elsewhere, and making a small income off it probably is more likely to annoy the original copyright holder. But I’d be surprised if they ever found it.

Sites do that all the time though. Technically you’re right, but it makes no practical difference.

The forum text is still really small on the Mac version of Firefox.

Isn’t there a browser-specific hack you could use?

Firstly, nope, it’s “Jane’s” – It is the balance of ‘Jane’ not ‘Janes’, therefore the apostrophe comes after ‘Jane’

And secondly, no, she hasn’t. No payment has been received from Jane.

    Yep, you’re right ryan.

When the cut is too deep though, the skates *feel* too sharp.

Wouldn’t know anything about that, should imagine he knows what he is doing though, Anna was getting her hockey skates done my Fanis all the time, and never had any problems. I would think the only problem would be with stopping, as apparently he does them REALLY sharp.

I’ve had my skates done that way once at SK8 as well. I was terrified once I got on the ice that night. I was lining and I’d circle the puck drop in order to get into position, rather than, y’know, stop. Note to self – Ryan Wick sharpens skates way different from Stefan! Once I’d refereed a couple of games and softened them a bit they were good though.

Too sharp is as bad as too blunt. Perhaps we could arrange it with the DIHA to get us a deal with rink management, whereby we all go along once a week to get our skates sharpened by someone who knows what they’re doing (i.e. not certain curlers who’ve never played hockey, or figure skaters) and the sharpener gets to keep a percentage of the take to make it worth their while.
