Ref is better than a D player, because refs don’t sit on the bench for half the game.

Ryan, if you’re serious about doing this, there’s a couple of ways to go about it. I emailed you

    Ok, so far we have:

    [list:17mxit7u]
    [*:17mxit7u]Chris[/*:m:17mxit7u]
    [*:17mxit7u]Rob[/*:m:17mxit7u]
    [*:17mxit7u]Neil[/*:m:17mxit7u]
[*:17mxit7u]Jason (bringing one other person- his mum?)[/*:m:17mxit7u]
    [*:17mxit7u]Mike[/*:m:17mxit7u]
    [*:17mxit7u]Ryan[/*:m:17mxit7u]
    [*:17mxit7u]Mark[/*:m:17mxit7u]
    [*:17mxit7u]Callan[/*:m:17mxit7u]
    [*:17mxit7u]Estelle[/*:m:17mxit7u]
    [*:17mxit7u]Jane[/*:m:17mxit7u][/list:u:17mxit7u]

So a good turnout for us! yeah!

Jack, Tim, Nick and Julian are definitely not coming. I think this may be because they like other men in an ungodly fashion.

Please remember to bring your $7 and that it is formal dress, so don’t turn up in your trackies or you’ll look like a prize idiot. Ryan will struggle to avoid looking like a prize idiot whether or not he wears trackies, but that’s inherent in being a chemist really.

Just a thought. How about taking the camera out of the net and mounting it on the outside of the glass facing the net. That way you can still see the goals and also get a wider view of whats happening in the attacking zone on the lead up to the goal being scored.
    [/quote:3otsxpdl]

That’s definitely a possibility. Personally, I think that would be a great idea [i:3otsxpdl]in addition[/i:3otsxpdl] to the net cam.

There is also the issue of the depth-of-field of the camera’s lens. It’s not exactly a beast of a thing, so we’d need to run a few tests to get it right.

If you get a Fish Eye lens you will be able to get a wider view.

While that’s a great suggestion, it’s not feasible with the level of technology we presently have available to us.

I think it would work well not so much as a net cam but a shot cam sitting on top of the cross bar.

This might be a possibility in future, but at present the structure of the cross bar makes the operation prohibitively labour-intensive. We’d need to make up a bracket and some clamps, which is a long way beyond the tupperware container and string mechanism we’ve so far implemented <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” />

It would be great to get some manorburn dam pics too!

Additionally, these two directories contain lots of Beasts pics from Qtown and the spring DIHL final:

Firstly, yes, your ULead thing is clearly screwed re: the text

Secondly, good concept and good in practice. For a good game, this would be a great little tool, as well as perhaps getting a bigger memory card.

    Well done!

Awesome idea Ryan! It will be a great way to see the angles of all the goals that the Bullfrogs are going to score.

Better to get one of the other goalies to do two games, or find another goalie who missed out and offer them a game.

Hardly fair to throw one of the Prem goalies into the B grade, unless it’s the only option.
    [/quote:3ipbpimj]

True. Since Aaron didn’t reply I’ve asked Jaimee Wood to double stint if another B-grade goalie doesn’t sign up. Now to get hold of the list of spare goalies <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smiley.gif" alt=":)” title=”Smiley” />

    Ryan,

Ah, yeah, not Aaron please. Even though we do have Neil “Lightning Hands” Duddley, and the Bears have Mighty Jaimee Wood, sticking Aaron Bryant between the pipes would probably unbalance things a bit.

Personally Kyle, I don’t think that was at all funny. I think it was demeaning, unhelpful, spiteful, horrid, nasty, unspeakable, immoral, uncouth and completely unnecessary…

Actually thats a complete lie. I chuckled.
